MEDIA FACILITY LOCATIONS

TV AND RADIO FACILITIES
The broadcast commentary positions are located within the Media Centre on level 3 of the western stand. There are three TV commentary boxes, one combined TV/Radio box, two radio boxes, and two TV hosting studios.

OB COMPOUND
The OB compound is located externally to the venue at the north-west corner of the stadium. It features a dedicated area for OB vehicles, patch room, break room with kitchenette and toilet facilities.

WRITTEN PRESS BOX
The written press box is located within the Media Centre on level 3 of the western stand and features 39 positions each with dedicated power and data outlets. There is a kitchenette and dining area at the rear.

PHOTOGRAPHERS CENTRE
The photographer’s room is located on the basement level, in the middle of the western side of the stadium. It features 40 positions, a kitchenette and locker facilities. Toilets are located adjacent to the room.

PRESS CONFERENCE ROOM
The press conference room is located on the basement level, adjacent to the Gate 8 lift lobby. To access the press conference room after the game, media on level 3 should take the passenger or service lifts to Level 0.

MIXED ZONE
A mixed zone may be installed for major events. Mixed Zones provide an opportunity for the press/broadcasters to conduct interviews with athletes as they leave the field of play or the venue. All athletes pass through the Mixed Zone however they are not obliged to answer questions or participate in interviews. Hirers may choose to use the Tunnel Club as a mixed zone. Hirers will communicate details to media prior to the match.

ACCESS TO DRESSING ROOMS
Each sporting code has different restrictions regarding access to the change rooms. Club media managers will communicate access details prior to the conclusion of the event.

TV AND RADIO BROADCASTERS

ACCESS
ALL accredited TV and radio broadcast personnel must enter the venue via the security check point located on the downramp in the north-west corner of the venue and present their event accreditation for scanning.

BROADCASTER REQUIREMENTS

INDUCTIONS
Venues NSW requires all broadcast crews to complete an online induction prior to arrival onsite. This applies to crew working at Allianz Stadium on event days and non-event days. There is no cost to complete this online induction.

CATERING
TV broadcasters organise their own catering for their crew and commentary team. This is served in the OB area. Hirers may select to provide individual drops for radio broadcasters or provide additional catering in the written press area. Media are permitted to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages from the member and public areas and bring them into the media areas.

ACCESS TO SCG OB COMPOUND
A stairwell and lift connecting Allianz Stadium to the SCG OB compound can be found in the south-west corner of the basement.

WRITTEN PRESS

PRESS BOX OPENING TIMES
The written press box will open one hour prior to gates and will close 90 minutes following the event.

ACCESS
Accredited written press arriving prior to gate opening should enter the venue via the security check point located on the downramp in the north-west corner of the venue. Following gate opening, written press are permitted to use the Gate 8 entry opposite the Rugby League Central building. Media should then take the passenger or service lifts to the media centre on level 3. Seating allocations will be determined by the sports partner/hirer.

CATERING
The hirer is responsible for catering on event days. Media are permitted to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages from the member and public areas and bring them into the media areas.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

PHOTOGRAPHERS CENTRE OPENING TIMES
The photographer’s room will open one hour prior to gates for photographers, unless otherwise pre-arranged between the hirer and Venues NSW. It will close 90 minutes following the completion of the event.

ACCESS
Accredited photographers arriving prior to gate opening will need to enter the venue via the security check point located at the downramp in the north-west corner of the venue. Following gate opening, photographers are permitted to use the Gate 8 entry opposite the Rugby League Central building.

SEATING
A total of 40 positions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each seat is equipped with wireless and cabled internet and power sockets. There is a kitchenette and locker facilities available. Toilets are located adjacent to the room.

BIBS
Photographers are required to wear an event-issued specific bib at most events. Hirers will be responsible for distribution and collection of the bibs.

FIELD ACCESS AND POSITIONS
Photographers must always display the appropriate accreditation and the respective bib within the venue to assist security staff. Access to the field of play via the corner PAVs and positions onfield will be determined and communicated by the hirer. Photographer positions on the field differ across various sports. It is the hirer’s responsibility to brief photographers on areas where they may access and provide a map in the Photographers room for reference.

ON-FIELD POWER
Power will be set out behind LED signage at the northern and southern ends for football (soccer) events as per A-League / FIFA guidelines. Photographers requiring power during play for other football codes may use the power outlets located around the field of play but away from high traffic areas.

STORAGE
There is no permanent onsite storage. Photographers may use the lockers adjacent to the photographer’s room but must remove all equipment prior to departure each day. Any equipment left is at the owner’s risk and will be removed by Venues NSW.

CATERING
The hirer will be responsible for the provision of photographer catering on event days. Media are permitted to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages from the member and public areas and bring them into the media areas.

ROOF ACCESS
Access to the roof gantry must be pre-arranged and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A ‘Request for Permit’ will need to be completed before gantry access will be approved.

REMOTE CAMERAS
Remote cameras may be affixed to the camera deck on level three of the western stand or the roof gantry. Photographers must ensure the remote camera is clamped securely to the rail. Any cameras left in this area are the responsibility of the photographer. Venues NSW takes no responsibility for any cameras damaged or stolen. Alternative locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

INDUCTIONS
Venues NSW requires all photographers seeking to work at heights to complete an online induction prior to arrival onsite. This applies to photographers working at heights on event days and non-event days. There is no cost to complete the online induction.

GENERAL

ACCREDITATION
Media must present the specific event-issued accreditation to Venues NSW staff for scanning. Media who do not have the correct accreditation will be directed to contact the hirer. Accreditation must be worn at all times. Hirers will communicate where to collect accreditation for their event and will assist with lost, forgotten or damaged passes.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Allianz Stadium has its own Conditions of Entry which can be found at all entry gates into the venue as well as on the Allianz Stadium website. All media accessing Allianz Stadium must always abide by the Conditions of Entry. Anyone found to be in breach of the Allianz Stadium Conditions of Entry may be asked to leave the premises. In addition to the SFS Conditions of Entry, all hirers have their own Conditions of Entry which Venues NSW is engaged to enforce on event days. The hirer will issue these prior to the commencement of each season.

SECURITY CHECKS
Access to the venue is subject to a bag check by Venues NSW security at the point of entry. Any media who refuse to these checks will not be permitted entry to the venue.

WI-FI
Venues NSW provides a complimentary Wi-Fi network dedicated to the media which is available within the media areas and on the field of play. Information on how to connect to the Wi-Fi can be found on the noticeboards with the media facilities. Media should note that the password will be changed regularly, and they may need to ‘forget’ the Wi-Fi to enter the new password.

TRANSPORT
The Allianz Stadium is well serviced by public transport on event and non-event days. Timetable information and a trip planner for bus, taxi, car and light rail can be found at https://transportnsw.info.

PARKING
There are several parking options near Allianz Stadium:
Entertainment Quarter – access via Lang Road – normal fees apply
EP2 (north) and EP3 (south) – access via Driver Avenue, operated by Centennial Parklands. Opening hours are limited and set around gate opening times
Moore Park Road – clearways apply

DRESS REGULATIONS
Dress regulations are in place for all events at Allianz Stadium, unless otherwise advised by Venues NSW. All patrons must adhere to the dress regulations. Dress regulations are detailed on Allianz Stadium website.

SMOKING
Smoking and use of e-cigarettes and vaping are banned in all enclosed public areas and certain outdoor public areas, including the Allianz Stadium precinct, under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000 and the Smoke-free Environment Regulation 2016. These bans protect people from harmful second-hand tobacco smoke. There is no safe level of exposure to second-hand smoke. Offenders smoking inside the grounds will be issued with an infringement notice and fined under the relevant by laws.

FIRST AID / MEDICAL
First Aid and medical assistance is available on all match days. In the event of medical emergency, please contact the nearest customer service officer. The First Aid Room is located in the basement in the south-west corner.

CHILDREN AND FRIENDS OF MEDIA
Children and friends of media will not be permitted entry to any media facilities, including filing and catering areas, unless approved by the hirer.

BEHAVIOUR
Media are asked to respect their fellow colleagues who may be meeting different deadlines. Media are not permitted to bring alcoholic drinks in the media areas or stand in aisles.

PRAYER ROOM
A Prayer Room is located on level one (1) in the south-east corner of the concourse.

EVACUATION
The Allianz Stadium has an emergency notification system on every floor. In the event of an emergency, a voice alarm will be activated and will instruct you on how to respond to the situation. If you are instructed to evacuate the building, please leave all personal belongings behind and move as quickly as possible to the nearest emergency exit.
